The sequel to the sucessful Super Mario Kart featured on the Super Nintendo, Mario Kart 64 marks the first 3D Mario Kart game in series. Incorporating 8 playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario and Bowser! Race throughout 4 cups and 16 courses, use items to cause hazards and harm to other racers, whether it means throwing Koopa Shells or gaining boosts of speed from Mushroom items. Strive to win championships in Single Player, or take on 1-3 friends in multiplayer fun!
Mario Kart's VS. Mode allows players to race with up to 3 friends among 16 courses from Grand Prix mode, or duke it out with items in special arenas via the Battle Mode. There's also the possibility of taking on Grand Prix mode with a friend. Mario Kart 64 demonstrates how great a multiplayer Mario experience can be, featuring your favorite characters, Grand Prix, Vs. Mode and an action packed Battle Mode. |
