Mario Kart finally makes its way to Nintendo's innovative gaming console, the Nintendo Wii. Players compete in races as their favorite characters including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Bowser and more, players can also unlock the ability to play as their favorite Miis! Not only does it include new characters and tracks, but also it also features a new way to play, with the Wii Wheel! The Wii Wheel takes advantage of the Wii Remote's motion controls by housing the Wii Remote horizontally in a wheel-shaped peripheral, allowing for players to control the kart's steering wheel as if they're actually driving!

Also new to the series, the first time inclusion of bikes and tricks. Bikes are lighter weight and and gain small bursts of speed by popping a wheelie, the downside however is that bikes receive a smaller boost than karts do while drifting. Performing tricks gives both karts and bikes a burst of speed as soon as they land. Play with up to 3 other friends and family members in the same room or take on the world in massive 12 player online races and battles!
