In Yoshi's 5th starring game appearance, players don't just play as him, but as his entire multi-colored brethren too! In this 2D Platformer which takes roots from Yoshi's Island, the baby Yoshis must take back their Super Happy Tree that has been stolen by the spoiled brat, Baby Bowser, who jelously took it and transformed Yoshi's Island into a story book. This tree brings a tremendous amount of joy to the Yoshis of Yoshi's Island and without it, the island is doomed for unhappiness.

In this adventure, the Yoshis must use eggs as projectiles to battle against various enemies and monstrous bosses, eating a large amount of fruit along the way. All in the hopes of restoring complete happiness back to Yoshi's Island.
