Nintendo has finally released more information regarding its latest, zany party title, Mario Party 9. The vehicle that we've seen Mario and friends riding around in appears to play a big role in the game's gimmick. Each character will take turns being "Captain" of the vehicle, meaning they can control which path it will take and land on certain lucky spaces. There will also be "Captain Events" that will affect the pace of the game. Boards play different than in past games as well. Now, there is a definite beginning and end, and players must guide the vehicle through plenty of branching paths to reach the end where a Boss Battle lies for all players to take on. The only revealed boards right now are Toad's Road and Boo's Horror Castle. For more info, check out the game's info page at Nintendo.

Yesterday, Shigeru Miyamoto announced that he would be stepping down from his position to work on smaller projects at Nintendo. The company has responded to Miyamoto's comments, stating that "Miyamoto's role at Nintendo is not changing." It seems that the famed designer is only "encouraging the younger developers at the company to take more initiative and responsibility for developing software."

Well, this might be a relief for some of you, but a disappointment for others. Just know that Shigeru Miyamoto is here to stay!

The man behind Mario himself, Shigeru Miyamoto, has decided to step down from his lofty position at Nintendo. The gaming legend told Wired that he wanted to work "on a smaller project with even younger developers" and he really wants to be "in the forefront of game development once again." Fear not for the future of Nintendo, however. Miyamoto is still at the company, but he is "retiring from [his] current position."

A major new update is now available for the Nintendo 3DS. The update introduces completely new features such as 3D video recording and the new Nintendo Zone. There are also small updates to existing applications, such as new puzzles and dungeons in the StreetPass Plaza. The update can be downloaded now by heading to the Settings on your 3DS and updating the system.

There is a massive glitch on the Maka Wuhu course in Mario Kart 7. It allows the player to skip through nearly half of the course. We do not recommend doing this in online play. Hopefully Nintendo will release a patch sometime in the near future to fix this.

ShadowHero has recorded the glitch in the video below:
